I'm E. I'm a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Southampton. I work on the AHRC-funded Vulnerable Native Grammars project, investigating grammatical attrition in the first languages of adult bilinguals.

I was previously a postdoctoral researcher on the Scots Syntax Atlas project at the University of Glasgow.

I'm broadly interested in syntactic variation and change, and the consequences that phenomena like dialect variation and grammatical attrition have for models of generative grammar. More specifically, I have worked on non-canonical questions, verb raising, agreement, demonstratives, negation and imperatives, as well as methodologies for exploring syntactic variation.
